Since then, he’s been trying to control the beast that resides within to atone for his past. Taking a job in New York, where the light never sleeps, he seeks to build a new life away from the long shadow of his past.
Then he is mesmerised by a silver-eyed sensation of a woman. With each fleeting glimpse, this mystery woman weaves her way through his life and into his heart. He loses track of her when the stress of his job and the interconnecting lives of new friends and old acquaintances start to tear at his mask of control. Will the darkness rise again?
He realises he can’t outrun his past when one of those intersecting connections leads him to his estranged Aunt, Angelica Bodekker. She unknowingly introduces him to the woman he’s fantasised about, Saoirse Mahoney.
Saoirse’s also dealing with demons from her past. When Josh starts hounding her to start a relationship, she worries that history is repeating itself. Has Josh been stalking too? Her suspicions about him rise when she finds out his grandmother died by his hand, and Angelica is unsure if her nephew got away with murder. Is Saoirse in danger?
