Women kicking-ass through the generations

Here's how using gentle and fierce is done unapologetically. From the woman who put the "energetically" into UNAPOLOGETICALLY.

Snap out of it and be you!

'Cause you're beautiful!

Observations of a Middle-aged Dragon with a tattoo:

There are many words to define Beauty.

Find your OWN definition. Don't forget to use the WHOLE crayon box or all the Dictionary, whatever takes your fancy. It's only up to you.

Don’t be swayed by lesser people’s opinions - reach for your full potential, remembering; you do deserve happiness.

(Sage Thompson: Quote from Truly: Too Much is Never Enough. ..... A.M. Jaxon ©)

What sums you up, makes you smile because you're being true to yourself.

Find it. Dare you to....

These words may help you push through any New Year blues

Observations of a Middle-aged Dragon with a tattoo:

Finding life TOUGH at the moment?

These words may help to bring a little peace.

1.  EMBRACE alone time. Don’t avoid it.

    2.  It’s the now that defines your future. Don’t dwell on the past.

3.  Dont act like the world owes you. You create your reality.

4. Trust the journey (this is the “real” challenge). Don’t expect immediate results:

5. Don’t waste energy on things you can’t control.

I’m not great at taking this advice either. I’m not going to say I’m “holier than thou” because I'm NOT. I’ve just done a lot of dumb stuff. But more often than not when I’m feeling down or stressed-out, I read these points and one invariably helps me.

I read them with a glass of wine or whatever is my want, and eventually I'm smiling and I have a plan or an idea to rise stronger tomorrow.

SET yourself free, even if just for a little. Dare you to...

Why do we label people?

Observations of a Middle-Aged Dragon with a Tattoo:

Everyone seems to want to LABEL everyone else these days…

What if we STOPPED and stuck to finding out about people the old-fashioned way. LIKE: Taking the time and talking to each other.

Rather than labelling being about WHO YOU ARE can we just go back to labels helping us with HOW TO…..

Go on! Talk to someone instead of labelling them.  Dare you to...

When God created woman

Observations of a Middle-Aged Dragon with a Tattoo:

When God created woman

When God created woman, he was working late on the 6th day...

An angel came by and asked, "Why spend so much time on her?"

The Lord answered. "Have you seen all the specifications I have to meet to shape her?"

“She must function in all kinds of situations.

She must be able to embrace several kids at the same time.

Have a hug that can heal anything from a bruised knee to a broken heart.

She must do all this with only two hands.

She cures herself when sick and can work 18 hours a day"

The Angel was impressed, "Just two hands... impossible!

And this is the standard model?"

The Angel came closer and touched the woman,

"But you have made her so soft, Lord.”

"She is soft”, said the Lord,

"But I have made her strong. You can't imagine what she can endure and overcome."

"Can she think?" The Angel asked...

The Lord answered. "Not only can she think, she can reason and negotiate."

The Angel touched her cheeks...

"Lord, it seems this creation is leaking! You have put too many burdens on her."

"She is not is a tear." The Lord corrected the Angel…

"What's it for?" Asked the Angel.

The Lord said, "Tears are her way of expressing her grief, her doubts, her love, her loneliness, her suffering and her pride."

This made a big impression on the Angel,

"Lord, you are a genius. You thought of everything.

A woman is indeed marvellous"

Lord said, "Indeed she is.

She has strength that amazes a man.

She can handle trouble and carry heavy burdens. holds happiness, love and opinions.

She smiles when she feels like screaming.

She sings when she feels like crying, cries when happy and laughs when afraid.”

The Lord said,

“She fights for what she believes in.

Her love is unconditional.

Her heart is broken when a

next-of-kin or a friend dies but she finds strength to get on with life."

The Angel asked: "So she is a perfect being?"

The lord replied: "No. She has just one drawback, she often forgets what she is worth."

Women know your worth and enjoy yourself: Dare you to…

Great lines from movies not so well remembered but clever.

Observations of a Middle-aged Dragon with a tattoo:

Great lines capture the essence of a scene, a movie, a life and in some cases a generation.

We all remember lines like Gone with the Wind’s:  ‘Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn’. Then there’s the one that was never said in the movie Casablanca: ‘Play it again Sam’ what Bogie actually said was ‘You played it for her, you can play it for me! Play it Sam. Play as Time Goes By.’

Everyone remembers: Forrest from Forrest Gump  saying, ‘My mama always said life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.’

But may have forgotten: ‘Me and Jenny goes together like peas and carrots.’

1933: DUCK SOUP: Groucho Marx: ‘You know, you haven't stopped talking since I came here? You must have been vaccinated with a phonograph needle.’

1954: SABRINA: Thomas her father: ‘He’s still David Larrabee and you’re still the chauffeur’s daughter. And you’re still reaching for the moon.’

Sabrina: ‘No father. The moon is reaching for me.’

1957: THE SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS: J.J. Hunsecker ‘I'd hate to take a bite outta you. You're a cookie full of arsenic.’

1958: VERTIGO:

Scottie: ‘Don’t you think it’s sort of a waste for the two of us to…’

Madeleine: ‘Wander separately? Ah, but only one is a wanderer. Two together are always going somewhere.’

1981: BODY HEAT:

1999: THE TALENTED MR RIPLEY: Ripley: ‘I always thought it would be better to be a fake somebody than a real nobody.’

George: ‘How many numbers you got?’

Erin Brockovich: ‘Oh, I got numbers comin' outta my ears. For instance: ten’.

George: ‘Ten?’

Erin Brockovich: ‘Yeah. That's how many months old my baby girl is.’

George: ‘You got a little girl?’

Erin Brockovich: ‘Yeah. Yeah, sexy, huh? How 'bout this for a number? Six. That's how old my other daughter is, eight is the age of my son, two is how many times I've been married - and divorced; sixteen is the number of dollars I have in my bank account. 850-3943. That's my phone number, and with all the numbers I gave you, I'm guessing zero is the number of times you're gonna call it.’
